Health Disparities: Movement Disorders

Posted about 5 years ago by Camille Dyer

Claire Pomeroy, MD, MBA is president and CEO of the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation which is dedicated to accelerating support for medical research.  Her powerful personal story of survival has given her a unique perspective on how social determinants play a critical role in the health and wellbeing of us all.  Exercise and diet are a primary focus in U.S. healthcare.  But where we are born, the conditions in which we are raised, our cultural heritage and availability of social support networks have equal, if not greater influence on our life expectancy and health status.  Join us as Dr. Pomeroy connects the dots of how our policies and practices work against our efforts to end health disparities and what we can do to change this.

Movement Is Life proudly welcomes Dr. Claire Pomeroy to the 2019 Caucus!
