AHPAC PArtner, The Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health:

  • Climate Week NYC Recap: September 22-29 has already passed, but ... Health professionals are seeing firsthand the impacts of the climate crisis and fossil fuel pollution on our patients—rising temperatures, worsening air quality, and increased disease. The urgency for change is clear. Transitioning to clean energy can protect our health and environment, offering cleaner air and safer water. Fossil fuel companies spend millions to obscure their pollution, but it’s our duty to advocate for a healthier future. This new video (Video) from The Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health emphasizes that the time for action is now. Ending fossil fuels is a new beginning for health. • Be sure to Tune in October 11 or November 8, 2024 for a webinar addressing Health Equity : https://medsocietiesforclimatehealth.org/event/climate-and-health-equity-webinar-series/

Through a series of engaging and informative sessions, we will explore the multifaceted ways in which climate change exacerbates existing health inequities, disproportionately affecting populations that have been systemically marginalized. We will also explore equitable solutions"
