AAPA CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

2018-A-14 Genetic Testing Task Force – Submit your interest in volunteering athttps://www.formsite.com/aapa/form954/index.html

As a result of the 2018 House of Delegates meeting, AAPA is recruiting 5 to 7 PAs with experience and expertise in the following areas to draft a Genetic Testing Policy Paper: ethics, genetics, psychology, legal,  family practice and oncology. A member of the JAC Commission will be appointed to the task force to characterize the impetus for their resolution, which emanated from the revisions to the Guidelines for Ethical Conduct for the PA Profession.  The policy paper will be submitted for consideration to the 2019 House of Delegates. The task force will meet via conference call with the deadline for submission of the policy paper being March 19, 2019.

 

2018-B-18 Standards Requiring In-person Instruction for PA Students Task Force – Submit your interest in volunteering at https://www.formsite.com/aapa/form956/index.html

As a result of the 2018 House of Delegates meeting, AAPA is recruiting 5-7 PAs with experience and expertise in the following areas to research and author a recommendation to the 2019 House of Delegates on resolution B-18:  PA educators, Early Career PAs from traditional and distance learning programs.   Resolution B-18, which was referred for further study by the 2018 HOD, states “AAPA supports standards to require that PA training programs provide at least 80 percent of didactic instruction as in-person or live lectures.” The task force will meet via conference call with the deadline for submission of the policy paper being March 19, 2019.

 

2018-C-16 Restriction of the Use of Opioid Containing Medications in Children Task Force – Submit your interest in volunteering at https://www.formsite.com/aapa/form955/index.html

As a result of the 2018 House of Delegates meeting, AAPA is recruiting 5-7 PAs with experience and expertise in the following areas to research and author a recommendation to the 2019 House of Delegates on resolution C-16:  Pediatrics, Addiction Medicine, and Palliative Care. Resolution C-16 which was referred for further study by the 2018 HOD states “Adopt the policy paper entitled “Restriction of the Use of Opioid Containing Medications in Children.” The task force will meet via conference call with the deadline for submission of the policy paper being March 19, 2019.
