PLEASE Support OUR Scholarships this Juneteenth

Posted about 2 years ago by Camille Dyer

In just under  two weeks our country will celebrate Juneteenth, which commemorates the effective end of slavery in the United States. In recognition of this important day, we’re partnering with the African Heritage PA Caucus to raise funds for scholarships that support Black PA students. The PA Foundation’s Joyce Nichols Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Joyce Nichols, the first Black woman to be formally educated as and practice as a PA and the first person of color to serve on the AAPA Board of Directors. The Prentiss L. Harrison Memorial/African Heritage PA Caucus Scholarship is named in memory of the nation’s first Black PA and one of the founding members of the African Heritage PA Caucus (AHPAC). Support these scholarship funds today, and help empower PA leaders of tomorrow!
