A Pivotal Moment for the PA Profession The healthcare marketplace has undergone significant change in the last two years. Yet, as valued members of patient-centered, team-based care, PAs continue to strengthen the core of our healthcare system. To elevate the PA profession and demonstrate who PAs are, what PAs do, and the value PAs bring to patients, AAPA needs leaders who are strategic, innovative, and passionate about both the profession and the patients we serve. We’re offering members the opportunity to submit questions to the candidates running for a position on the Board of Directors, the Student Academy Board of Directors, or the Nominating Work Group. Use this form to submit your questions by May 1! The HOD Meet the Candidates Forum is scheduled to take place at the HOD Meeting on Saturday, May 21 at 8:15 a.m. ET. This forum will be for the Nominating Work Group Candidates if an additional candidate declares from the floor. You are invited to join the PAs who are running for the Secretary-Treasurer and Director-at-Large positions during a live Meet the Candidates event on May 23 at 9 a.m. ET at AAPA 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana. All registered conference attendees are eligible to attend. Look for details on this special session when you login to your conference portal. The virtual Student Academy Board Meet the Candidates session will also take place during conference on Sunday, May 22 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. ET. Any Student Academy member registered for AAPA 2022 is welcome to attend. How to Vote Voting in the House of Delegates Elections will be conducted on May 21 during the 2022 HOD Meeting. All credentialed delegates who are eligible to vote will receive individual ballots and voting instructions from YesElections, the independent vendor conducting AAPA’s elections. Voting will open at 1:45 p.m. and close at 3:30 p.m. ET. Certified elections results will be announced to the delegates on Sunday, May 22. Voting in the Board of Directors General Election and the Student Academy Board of Directors Election will begin on May 25 at 9 a.m. ET and conclude on June 6 at 5 p.m. ET. Voting will be conducted by YesElections, and eligible voters will receive an individual electronic ballot by email. Electing the leaders of AAPA is an exclusive benefit of AAPA membership. To vote in the House of Delegates Elections, you must be a credentialed delegate and fellow member by May 6. Eligible voters in the Board of Directors General Election and Student Academy Board of Directors Election must be fellow or student members by May 10. Don’t forget to confirm your membership status and email address before May 10 to ensure you receive your individual secure ballot.
